The Town Clerk is responsible for Records Management, Registrar Duties, Filing new Marriage Licenses, Death Certificates, etc. in Town of Sangerfield and Village of Waterville. Issuance of Building permits, Zoning Permits, New death, birth certificates, dog licenses, hunting licenses, Minutes of Town Board meetings, filing local laws, etc. Town Clerk attends each board meeting but does not have a vote. The clerk is responsible for the abstracts being ready for the board meetings, filing records and responsibility for records management. Searches are made for original death, birth and marriages to make copies for families needing them. The clerk also issues handicapped hangers for drivers presenting a proper doctor form.
